J. Georges Youssef, MD, is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine, and has previously practiced in Sierra Vista from 2003 to 2012. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Youssef serves as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital, as well as Clinical Assistant Professor in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He is a pulmonary transplant physician at Houston Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center. Dr. Youssef has expertise in novel anti-rejection therapy and has helped develop an aerosolized anti-rejection therapy to reduce the incidence of chronic lung transplant rejection and minimize side effects of anti-rejection medications. Dr. Youssef has special expertise in refractory airway diseases (COPD/ asthma) and specialized bronchoscopic procedures (EBUS/bronchial thermoplasty, airway stenting and electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy).
